Tell us what you actually want from the call. A sale, peace of mind, and something getting worse are three different visits.

The number below is answered day and night, and form enquiries get a reply the same working day. Free assessment with floor elevations across five Coastal Bend counties, at one rate card with nothing added for distance.

Deep shrinkage cracks opened in dry clay soil alongside a house slab

Four reasons people call, and they need different things

What you wantWhat we do differently
A number, because you are sellingElevations and a written scope quickly, with a clear statement of condition. We will also tell you that condition is not the same as trend
Peace of mindThe full survey, and a written result even when the result is that nothing needs doing. Frequently the whole visit
It is actively getting worseWe come sooner, and we look for a leak or a drainage failure first, because clay cycles do not move that fast
An engineer told you to get bidsWe price against their scope rather than around it, so the bids you collect are genuinely comparable

Two things worth knowing before you dial

  • Roughly what year the house was built. It decides whether a post-tensioned slab is likely and how many moisture cycles the structure has already been through
  • Which season the trouble showed up in. Damage that appeared during a dry stretch behaves like clay; damage that ignored the seasons entirely behaves like plumbing

Neither is required. Both shorten the visit considerably and improve what we can tell you at the end of it.

Reaching us

Telephone: (361) 000-0000, day or night.
Form: the one below, answered before the working day is out.
Coverage: five counties, listed town by town on the service areas page.

We publish no street address, because there is nothing at one. Crews go to houses and the admin travels in a bag. In a state where no register exists to look anybody up on, printing an address to seem more established would be precisely the sort of unverifiable signal the rest of this site tells you to distrust.

What follows

We book the assessment, measure floor elevations across the footprint, walk the outside for drainage and anything drinking near the house, establish the slab type, and leave a written scope. Nothing is priced before that, and where the honest answer is the bottom rung of the ladder, that is what the scope will say.

Before you call

What should I say when I call?

What you want out of it. Somebody selling in six weeks needs a different conversation from somebody whose door stopped closing last month, and both differ from somebody who simply wants to stop worrying about a crack. Say which you are and the visit gets shaped around it.

I just want peace of mind. Is that a waste of your time?

Not at all, and it is a large share of what we do. A free survey that ends with 'this is construction tolerance, here are the numbers in writing' is a completely legitimate outcome and a common one.

It is getting worse quickly. How fast can you come?

Usually within a few working days, and sooner where something is visibly changing week to week. That pace is not a seasonal clay cycle, which moves slowly, so it points at a leak or a drainage failure and both are worth catching early.

An engineer told me to get quotes.

Then bring the report. We price against their scope rather than writing our own around it, which is the point of having one - every contractor is answering the same specification and you can compare bids properly.

Do you cover my town?

Nueces, San Patricio, Aransas, Kleberg and Jim Wells counties, all at the same rates. Outside those, give us the address and we will tell you straight rather than drive out to find out.

Two things help most before we get there: roughly what year the house went up, and whether the trouble showed up during a dry spell or after heavy rain. On this ground the season it appeared in narrows the cause faster than the size of any crack does. Expect a reply the same working day.
